JnU crisis intensifies: Students showed red card to administration

Jagannath University (JnU) Law Department student FairuzSadafAvantika's suicide was protested by JnU University common students showing red cards to the university administration.
The students held a protest rally under the banner of Jagannath University against oppression in ShantaChattar of the university on Tuesday. Students demanded for formation of a speedy trial.
A protesting student Shah ShakibSobhan said many things go viral in Bangladesh Jagannath University is the place to go viral. We don't see any activity of the dummy cell that is anti-bullying. The proctorial body held and took musleka from ordinary students without fault. In the next 7 days, the administration should conduct the judicial process expeditiously for the general students.
Another protesting student Taukir Ahmed said Avanti's death is the result of the culture of lack of justice. As the oppressor is in power and has the mentality to do whatever he wants, those who will judge are turning out to be friends of the oppressor to maintain their position. We want the oppressors and their accomplices to be rooted out. all injustices to be brought to justice.
Earlier, the law department held a condolence meeting on the death of Avantika in the central auditorium of the university.
In the speech of the chief guest vice-chancellor of the university SadekaHalim said, I am doing all that is possible under the law of the university. I have always worked with women. While I was a lecturer at Dhaka University, I went from hall to hall and did counseling the students.
SadekaHalim also said that women are looked down upon in a patriarchal society. A women's harassment cell will be activated in the university. I will do it on my responsibility.
The vice-chancellor also directed deans and chairmen of all faculties of the university to install sexual harassment complaint boxes in every department by today. She says that She will keep the key of the sexual harassment box with her and she will investigate it so that such incidents do not happen in the university in the future.
