FBCCI for creating disasters management team

Leaders of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) disclosed key information during a workshop titled "District Chamber Assessment Tool and Private Sector Emergency Response Team Management Guidelines," held at FBCCI's Motijheel office on Tuesday morning.
The workshop, attended by prominent figures from various sectors, focused on enhancing the effectiveness of district chambers through a structured assessment tool. The tool aims to streamline operations and improve responsiveness to challenges faced by businesses at the local level. 
During the session, FBCCI leaders emphasized the importance of a robust private sector emergency response framework. They underscored the need for coordinated efforts to address emergencies swiftly, ensuring minimal disruption to business activities and maintaining community resilience. Participants engaged in lively discussions on practical strategies for implementing these guidelines across different districts, acknowledging the diverse economic landscapes within Bangladesh.
The workshop concluded with a commitment to further develop and refine these tools, aiming to empower district chambers and strengthen the private sector's role in emergency management. The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) will create a private sector emergency response team or volunteer team in every district to deal with and manage disasters.
They also want to set up safety cells in each district chamber. The volunteer team will conduct activities under the District Administration following Disaster Act, SOD and Volunteer Guidelines.
Leaders of the FBCCI told this information in a workshop titled "District Chamber Assessment Tool and Private Sector Emergency Response Team Management Guidelines" was held at FBCCI's Motijheel office on Tuesday morning.
The day-long workshop was organized by FBCCI Safety Council in collaboration with Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief and Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC).
Senior Vice President of FBCCI Md. Amin Helali, FBCCI Secretary General Md Alamgir, Additional Secretary of Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief KM Abdul Wadud, Technical Lead of Asian Disaster Preparedness Council (ADPC) Dr. Mona C. Joy, FBCCI Safety Council Advisor Brigadier General (retd) Abu Naeem Md Shahidullah, representatives of various organizations and commercial organizations and others were also present in the workshop.
