Six killed, 200 injured in clash

Six people, including three students, were killed and at least 100 were injured during different violent clashes between quota reform protesters and Chhatra League members in different districts across the country on Tuesday. A young man died after being attacked near Dhaka College area on Tuesday.
The identity of the deceased, who was around 25 years of age, could not be known immediately.
"With critical head injuries, a youth was brought to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 5:15pm," Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH Police Outpost said.
The death happened amid sporadic clashes in the area between Bangladesh Chhatra League and students protesting the quota system near Science Lab area.
A student of Rangpur's Begum Rokeya University was killed during a clash between police and protesters seeking quota reform on the campus.
The deceased was identified as Abu Sayed, 25, a student of English Department of the university and one of the organisers of the quota reform movement. 
Md Moniruzzaman, Commissioner of Rangpur Metropolitan Police, told reporters "A student was killed but we are yet to know how he was killed." Four students of Jagannath University were shot and wounded on Tuesday afternoon during demonstrations near the campus, demanding reform in quota system.
Some students brought out a protest procession from the university around 3:30 pm.
A violent clash between quota reform protesters and Chhatra League members in Chattogram's Sholashohor to Muradpur area has resulted in the deaths of three individuals. 
Their bodies were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), where authorities confirmed the fatalities.
Md. Saiful Islam, Commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), confirmed the deaths of Akram, 24, a student of Chattogram College, and Faruq, 35, a pedestrian. The identity of the other deceased could not be known immediately. While marks of injuries were found on Faruq's body, no visible injuries were observed on Akram's body. The cause of Akram's death remains unknown, according to the CMP Commissioner.
The conflict turned the entire Sholashohor No. 2 Gate to Muradpur area into a battlefield with continuous chases and violent confrontations. The clash, which began around 4 pm on Tuesday marked the second day of such violence.
