Three youths killed under train in Cumilla

Three youths died under the wheels of train in Madhabpur under Burichang Upazila of Cumilla early Wednesday.

Identities of the deceased could not be confirmed till filing the report.

Cumilla Railway Police Outpost in-charge Sohel Molla confirmed the matter in the morning.

Sohel said that he arrived at the scene after being informed by locals. It is suspected that the three young men may have been run over by any train heading from Dhaka to Chattogram in the dawn. Efforts are underway to determine which train hit them.

Being informed, police from the Burichang Police Station and the railway outpost arrived at the scene and recovered the bodies.

According to the locals, the accident occurred early in the morning. At that time, two of the victims were still alive.
