
On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has started selling essential products at low prices through mobile trucks in Nilphamari. The sales program was inaugurated on Wednesday, March 5, at a location called DC Mor by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nayiruzzaman.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Jyoti Bikash Chandra, Coordinator of the District Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Saiad Mehedi Hasan Ashik, Joint Coordinator Sayeduzzaman Babu, student representative Ismail Hossain, and others were also present at the event.
According to sources, TCB is offering a package for 450 BDT, which includes edible oil 2 liters at 100 BDT per liter, lentils (Masoor dal) 2 kg at 60 BDT per kg, sugar 1 kg at 70 BDT per kg, and chickpeas 2 kg at 60 BDT per kg.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Jyoti Bikash Chandra stated that TCB products will be sold at five designated points in the city until the 25th of Ramadan. At each point, 400 people will be able to purchase the package of oil, lentils, sugar, and chickpeas for 450 BDT without requiring a TCB card. To keep product prices affordable, these essential goods will be available to everyone from the designated truck locations.
