Rajshahi University (RU) final application for the first phase of the first year admission test for Bachelor (Honours) for the academic year 2024-25 ended on February 16. 195,451 final applications have been submitted in the three units at the appointed time.
Professor Md. Saiful Islam, the director of the university's ICT center, confirmed this information.
He said, "The final application process of the first phase has already been completed. Three units have received 195,451 applications. Out of this, 70,771 in 'A' unit, 40,592 in 'B' unit, and 84,138 in 'C' unit. A total of 171,209 students have applied in three units.
According to ICT Center sources, 92,000 students in each unit ('A,' 'B,' 'C') will get an opportunity to take the entrance exam. Accordingly, 276,000 admitted students will get the opportunity to take the exam in three units. Final applications will be accepted at three stages. Candidates selected for any stage must complete the application within the stipulated time of that stage. There will be no opportunity to apply later.
However, this year's admission examination will begin with the 'B' unit (commerce) examination on April 12. The 'A' Unit (Humanities) exam will be held on April 19, and the 'C' Unit (Science) exam will be held on April 26. There will be 80 questions in the multiple-choice admission test of 100 marks. Time will be one hour. One mark will be deducted for every four wrong answers. Apart from this, any information related to admission can be found on the university website (www.ru.ac.bd).
