A Dhaka court on Wednesday has shown Salman F Rahman, former private sector adviser to ousted Sheikh Hasina, former Awami League lawmaker of Barguna-1 constituency Dhirendra Debnath Shambhu and former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun arrested in new cases filed with Ashulia Police Station over crimes committed during the student-led July-August mass uprising.
They were produced before the court on Wednesday morning. Investigation officers of the cases filed pleas to show them arrested.
Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Tajul Islam granted their petitions after the hearing.
Of the trio, Salman F Rahman and Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun were arrested in one case, while Dhirendra Debnath Shambhu was arrested in another case at the same police station.
