Md Tajul Islam, the chief prosecutor of International Crimes Tribunal (ICT), on Wednesday said the trials against Sheikh Hasina and her collaborators in genocide and other crimes against humanity would hopefully be completed in the New Year.
He made the remark in a New Year’s address to reporters.
He could not specify deadline for completing trails, but said the prosecution team and investigators are working to ensure the necessary processes are completed this year.
The refurbishment of the ICT building is almost complete, and trials would commence there following the Chief Justice’s approval.
