Concentrating on a two-day visit of the Islamic University Alumni Association (IUAA), the officials of Islamic University organized a get together program and meeting at its administration building on Tuesday last and the new VC expressed gratitude to the association's members, particularly President Mirza Walid Hossain, for their ongoing contributions to the university's development.

"I am dedicated to making Islamic University an international standard institution," the VC stated, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with the IUAA to achieve this goal. He highlighted his vision of creating a corruption-free public university that would inspire students to excel in their academic pursuits and contribute to rebuilding the nation's standing.

Addressing as the chief guest, Dr. Nasrullah sought solely support from the IUAA aims to galvanize the university community towards a shared vision of excellence and integrity.

Meanwhile, Mirza Walid Hossain, president of the Islamic University Alumni Association (IUAA) presided over the discussion; He emphasized the urgent need for an education-friendly atmosphere across all educational institutions to foster a higher-status economy. Speaking at a recent event at IU, he urged students to complete their educational journeys with a focus on ethics and humanism.

Actually, the Islamic University Alumni Association recently held a two-day visit to the university premises to congratulate Professor Dr. Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah on his appointment as the new Vice-Chancellor.On October 1st and 2nd, 2024, leaders and activists of the IU Chhatra Dal gathered at the central ShaheedMinar of Islamic University to honor the martyrs of the July-August mass uprising. The IUAA leadership began their tribute by laying floral wreaths at the foundation stone of the university's founder, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.

During the visit, IU Alumni President Mirza Walid Shipon emphasized the importance of creating an education-friendly and corruption-free environment at the university. He called for initiatives that would enable students to pursue higher education effectively and prepare them to compete at both national and international levels.

The alumni expressed their commitment to supporting the university in fostering an atmosphere conducive to academic excellence and integrity. Mirza highlighted that gathering knowledge with a strong moral foundation is essential for rebuilding a prosperous nation. "I am requesting the students to gather their knowledge with ethics and humanism, which would help rebuild a prosperous nation," he stated, underscoring the pivotal role of education in national development.

Additionally, he called for the exemplary punishment of Islamic University officials and student leaders who have allegedly received undue patronage from the Awami League government. His remarks reflect a broader concern for accountability and integrity within the educational system.

Mirza's call to action aims to inspire students to not only pursue academic excellence but also to contribute positively to society, emphasizing that a well-educated populace is crucial for the country's future growth and stability.

Meanwhile, teaches of different departments took part in the meeting and expressed their dedication for the gradual development of the Islamic University. Prof DrYakub Ali, Prof DrSiddiqur Rahman, Prof DrTojammelHossain, Prof Dr Zakir Hossain presented on the occasion.

The event drew the participation of numerous alumni, including current and former leaders, as well as members of professional committees. Notable attendees included Advocates Zakaria Haider, Ayub Jibon andSaiful Islam, former President of IU English Department Alumni Association Monowar Azad, Sohrab Hossain, Milima Islam Biswas Milialong with representatives from Chhatra Dal, Chhatrashibir, Chhatra League, and Jasad. Committee members such as Anwar Parvez, Rafiz Ahmed, and Noor Uddin were also present, reflecting the broad commitment to preserving the university's legacy and advancing its future.

Against this backdrop, Hafizur Rahman, a first batch student of Islamic University, shared his overwhelming satisfaction following a visit to the main campus in Kushtia. Previously a student at the Gazipur campus, Hafiz described his long-held dream of visiting the main campus and expressed heartfelt gratitude to his friend, Mirza Walid Hossain Shipon, for making it a reality.

"I had always dreamed of visiting the main campus at Kushtia, and I'm thrilled that I could finally experience it," Hafiz said with delight. He credited Shipon's dedication and passion for facilitating the visit, showcasing the strong bonds of friendship and support among alumni.
