The group painting exhibition titled ‘Brushstrokes of Friendship’ started at the Art Bangla Gallery in Dhaka’s Lalmatia on Monday.
A total of 51 artworks by 25 artists were displayed in this week-long exhibition, said a press release.
Chairman of the board of trustees of Shanto-Mariam University, artist professor Mostafizul Haque, professor of arts faculty of Dhaka University Sheikh Afzal Hossain and professor Shishir Kumar Bhattacharya inaugurated the exhibition as special guests.
Artist professor Mohammad Younus, chairman of Art Bangla Foundation, presided over the the opening ceremony of this exhibition, where art connoisseurs, art critics and other artists attended.
After the official opening, the artists and guests toured the exhibition and discussed the artworks presented in detail. Curated by artist Niloy IH, the exhibition will be open for visitors from July 1 to July 7 between 3:00pm and 8:00pm.
