Roads occupied by construction materials, suffering extreme

Building construction work is going on in front of Bhagalpur Mosque in Savar, but the people are suffering due to the poor condition of the road. The incident is happening in the construction of Nipun Shahriar Tower.

Irregularities are now becoming rules. Building construction work is going on in Savar Municipality Ward No. 6. And the movement of municipal people is being disrupted by leaving construction materials everywhere during the construction. The people of Savar are suffering. The development work is going on slowly on the main road of Ward No. 6 of Savar Municipality. As a result, most of the people move through different lanes. And almost the road of Oligli is now occupied by construction materials. With the change of day, the housing system is also improving. Human activity is increasing.

Due to the construction materials being left everywhere, we have to face various problems including traffic jams and accidents. Building owners are leaving bricks, stones and sand everywhere without paying attention to any rules. According to municipal law, it is illegal to place various construction materials including bricks, sand and stones on the streets. But still no one obeys this rule. Locals complain that no strong action is being taken by the Savar municipality even though this situation has been going on for a long time.

On the surface, it can be seen that Savar Municipality has stockpiled bricks, sand and stones on the road for the construction of Nipun Shahriar Tower multi-storied building on the road adjacent to Bhagalpur Jame Masjid in Ward No. 6. As a result, there is disruption in traffic on that road.Due to those construction materials, pedestrians are not able to use the sidewalk for safe movement. Owners of under-construction buildings and various developer companies have blocked the road and stockpiled construction materials. Locals say that buildings are being constructed by occupying the roads and footpaths of various areas in Savar and keeping construction materials for a long time.

Due to this, the vehicles plying on the road and the pedestrians are in extreme suffering. Not only that, but sometimes because of this, there is often a traffic jam on the empty road. However, no action is taken against the owner of the building under construction. Although it was less before, nowadays construction materials are kept more on the roads in different areas of the municipality. Many have complained that such incidents are happening due to lack of action.

Many residents of Savar municipality complained that they have to go to different places in the area for different jobs. Lately various roads have been narrowed by building construction materials. And due to the storage of all these materials, sand and stones are scattered on most parts of the road. It is very scary to drive through it. At times, sand and stones have caused many people to fall in pain.

Siddique Hossain, a battery operated autorickshaw driver, said that the building construction of Nipun Shahriar Tower is going on in front of the road adjacent to Bhagalpur Jame Masjid in Ward No. 6 of Savar Town.  I was forced to take passengers through different alleys of the city. Due to the long-term use of bricks, sand and stones on the roads, there are many problems in traffic. Sometimes traffic jams are also created. And there is a lot of dust on these roads. A lot of time is wasted.

When asked about this from Ward No. 6 Councilor Md. Abdus Sattar, he said, "The matter is under my notice, I will go to the office and discuss the matter."
In this regard, Savar municipality mayor Haji Md. Abdul Gani tried to contact on the phone, but he did not receive the call.
On the same issue, Savar's Yoon also tried to contact Rahul Chand over the phone but could not be reached.
