An extraordinary event took place at the Department of Youth Development’s Conference Hall on 24 October (Thursday) . EDUCO Bangladesh, Nari Maitree, and Shocheton Society jointly organized the Achievement Fair, a platform celebrating the remarkable journeys of talented youth from Dhaka and Rajshahi who have overcome significant challenges to chase their dreams.

The fair recognized young achievers excelling across diverse fields—National and International Karate gold medalists, boxers, cricketers, award-winning dancers, visual artists, and university students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who are now pursuing higher education at Dhaka University and other prestigious institutions. Through EDUCO Bangladesh's STARS project, 61 promising yet underprivileged youth received scholarships and life skills training over the past year, helping them navigate obstacles and move toward their aspirations.

Shaheen Akter Dolly, Executive Director of Nari Maitree, presided over the event, while Dr. Gazi Md. Saifuzzaman, Director General of the Department of Youth Development, was the chief guest. The event also welcomed distinguished attendees, including M.A. Akher, Director of Administration at the Department of Youth Development; Md. Abdur Rahim, Director of Programs at EDUCO Bangladesh; Umama Fatema, Coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement; Zahidul Islam, News Editor at Bangladesh Television; along with college lecturers, parents, and journalists. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Md. Hasinul Islam, Executive Director of Shocheton Society.

EDUCO’s Program Director emphasized that these accomplishments are a victory for the entire nation and called for stronger governmental support to further uplift talented youth. He also outlined EDUCO Bangladesh's commitment to future initiatives, envisioning even greater impacts for the country's youth. He expresses his gratitude to the implementing organizations, Nari Maitree and Sachetan Society, as well as to the funding organization, ChildFund Korea.

The chief guest reaffirmed the Department of Youth Development’s dedication to empowering young people and promised to expand support and initiatives for future achievers across the country.
