US-Bangla Airlines has officially launched direct flights between Dhaka and Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s international expansion.

The inaugural flight departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Monday (21 April) at 2:10 PM, carrying 423 passengers to Riyadh.

With the addition of this new route, Riyadh becomes the 14th international destination for US-Bangla Airlines.

Initially, the airline will operate direct flights between Dhaka and Riyadh five days a week—on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The flights are scheduled to depart Dhaka at 1:20 PM and land in Riyadh at 5:10 PM local time. The return flights from Riyadh will take off at 7:15 PM and arrive in Dhaka at 4:00 AM the following day.

US-Bangla will operate the Dhaka-Riyadh route using a 436-seat Airbus A330-300, one of the two wide-body aircraft currently in its fleet. The airline’s current fleet consists of 24 aircraft, including two Airbus A330-300s and nine Boeing 737-800s, enabling it to serve both domestic and international destinations efficiently.

In addition to its full coverage of domestic routes, US-Bangla Airlines operates international flights to Jeddah, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Doha, Male, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Chennai, and Kolkata.

The launch of direct flights to Riyadh is expected to significantly benefit Bangladeshi expatriates working in Saudi Arabia, as well as business and leisure travelers. It reflects US-Bangla’s continued effort to strengthen air connectivity between Bangladesh and key destinations in the Middle East.
