Gold price rises to highest in country’s history

The price of gold has increased again in the country's market. The price of best quality gold or 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) has been increased by 2 thousand 613 taka to 1 lakh 35 thousand 664 taka. This price is the highest in the history of the country. Earlier, the price of gold was increased on September 21.

Bajus Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring Committee decided to increase the price again in a meeting held on Tuesday (September 24). Later this information was informed in the circular signed by the chairman of the committee, Masudur Rahman.

According to the notification, this price has been increased in view of the increase in the price of acid gold (ripe gold) in the local market. Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) said that the new prices will be implemented from tomorrow, Wednesday (September 25).
