Farmers to get digital supply chain facilities

With a vision to bring sustainable smile on the face of farmers and building the next big thing in Bangladesh’s agricultural ecosystem, Agromukam BD Ltd is fast becoming a trusted name in the Agritech E-commerce sector in the country.

Agromukam BD Ltd is the first full stack 360° agribusiness-based e-commerce marketplace which enables farmers to directly access the market and other agribusinesses, a press release said.

The platform strongly supports B2B, F2B (farmers to business), B2C, F2C and F2G (farmers to government.)

“Agromukam has developed an innovative e-commerce marketplace app that allows farmers to purchase directly from agri-input companies enabling data-led advisory services,” said Touhidul Alam Zenith, chairman of Agromukam BD Ltd.

“Our platform also allows farmers and agribusiness stakeholders to collaborate under ‘one roof solution’,” he added.

Therefore, Agromukam is digitizing the forward and backward linkage of the entire agricultural supply chain ecosystem by creating an efficient and effective yet simple digital purchase and sales model, said Iftekharul Islam, managing director of Agromukam BD Ltd.

It has secured an investment of Tk1 crore from Midland Bank Ltd (MDB) as MDB Startup Loan on Thursday.

Md Ahsan-uz Zaman, managing director & CEO of MDB, and Touhidul Alam Zenith, chairman of Agromukam BD Ltd, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Md Zahid Hossain, DMD, Md Javed Tareq Khan, head of institutional banking division, Md Ahsan Jamil Hossain, head of SME Banking Division, and Md Bajlur Rahman Khan, acting head of CRM Division of Midland Bank, and Iftekharul Islam, managing director of Agromukam BD Ltd, were also present on the occasion along with other officials of the organizations.

With this new fund, Agromukam BD Ltd shall support augmentation of the existing technology infrastructure and accelerate its innovative and digital regional operation to move closer towards the farmers and integrate them with the power of smart and digital Bangladesh.

Agromukam promises to spread its footprint in every district, upazila and union of Bangladesh to serve agribusiness stakeholders at its best—as the only full-stack e-commerce marketplace in Bangladesh that connects customers and businesses.

The fund shall also enable Agromukam BD Ltd’s Phygital (Physical + Digital) business model to bring seed, pesticides, fertilizer, animal feed, veterinary medicine and supplement companies etc in a single digital marketplace, thus transforming the conventional trading business into a much more convenient and scalable business model with focus on the last mile delivery at farmer’s door step.
